Valentine's Day Candy Table

Hope all of you had a wonderful Valentine's Day! Everyone always says it's a Hallmark holiday but we love it because it's really just a day to remind everyone how thankful we are to have one another in our lives. We spent out Valentine's weekend volunteering and attending the Love & Respect Conference. We were asked to help create a budget friendly candy table for the guests of the conference. We decided to hang chocolate covered strawberries off of a white manzanita tree and just have a variety of candy that we know people will love.

The chocolate covered strawberries were a hit! They were gone within minutes.

Mini chocolate espresso cupcakes with pink and white frosting!

You can find the books and cd's online! It's definitely worth the money to purchase these. This conference really opened our eyes to how God loves us unconditionally and how ultimately we as people desire love from one another.

A Baby Shower to remember!

We absolutely love baby showers! It's such a special time to not only celebrate a precious baby coming into this world but also to shower the new mommy-to-be with love. The mommy-to-be (Kristin) wanted organic colors for the shower which she also used to decorate her baby Zoey's room. So yellow, green, and brown were the perfect color palette to create this look. We created a cute dessert table filled with yummy treats that Kristin and her guests would enjoy.

We created two different drinks to fit the color theme. The one to the left was a kiwi puree and the one to the right was a peach puree both topped off with sparkling cider.

Delicious lemon tarts with blackberries and baby themed white chocolate covered pretzels.

Brownie pops are always a crowd pleaser!

The diaper cake added a nice touch to the table decor and the color theme.

Favors (small green bags with candy) were hung off of the centerpiece. Each favor was labeled with the name of the guest.

If you are on a budget for decor, look for deals at the wholesale flower market. These were bought at the LA Flower Market. Find different size vases around your house and just get creative with the styling.

There are so many cheesy baby shower games out there but we thought decorating onesies was such a creative idea. Each guest received a plain white onesie to decorate however they wanted. There was puffy paint, a variety of buttons, rhinestones, etc. Once they were finished, the onesies were all hung with small baby clothes pins. It is an easy way to add decorations to what you have already put up.Some of the designs that the girls made! They are so cute!

The mom-to-be picked this one as the winner!

Table setting with white square plates and brown napkins with green flower napkin holders. The napkin holders were made of tissue and strung around with thin wire.

Mini Egg Frittatas are perfect for a lovely brunch. They are so flavorful in one bite and look elegant!

Thick slices of French Toast dusted with powered sugar and topped with mixed berries!

An Elegant Birthday Dinner Event

I decided to throw a birthday/anniversary dinner party for my husband and make it extra special with an intimate group of friends. It was held outdoors in our backyard which created the perfect ambiance for my vision. A ten person banquet table was rented with a black table cloth and matching black chairs to add a modern flair.

When throwing any special event, I start with a color theme to plan the event around. The colors for the event were kiwi green, black, and light grey. I made a menu for each place setting using the color theme with the scalloped green background and black studs.

Lighting is the best way to enhance any event to the next level. Using a few votive candles around the table will illuminate the entire place.

Creating a centerpiece doesn't have to cost a fortune. I used multiple square vases with two different sizes so that the centerpiece would add different heights to the table. And of course following the color theme.

And the food...first course (amuse-bouche).

Second course...

Third course...

Fourth course..main course from Chef Julie Yoon's recipe.

Fifth course.. you can't have a party without the dessert. Having a frozen yogurt bar is a new way to have a dessert table. Have your guests pick their own toppings. Each of the toppings were labeled with a green sticker label.

3-2-1 Event Sweets Table

Yay! Our blog is finally up! Here is a display of our recent 3-2-1 Spring Event. The event was successful and we hope to have another one soon. The color theme was green, white, and black. We displayed delicious white chocolate preztel sticks, assorted green candy, and of course our special touch with the tiffany blue mini cupcakes. We love the idea of having a sweets table at any wedding because it adds a personal touch and guests will linger for hours picking out their own favors! You can also add customized labels to put on the candy bags.
